Pastor

Hi, I'm Nathan Edwards, and on November 7 of 2010 I became the pastor of First Christian Church.
I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with a passion: the Bible calls it the power of God for salvation to all who believe. No other message on earth can give life to a world that is spiritually dead, separated from God by our sins. But by the sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we can be forgiven of sin, reconciled to a God who loves us, and freed from guilt and fear. This is a message worth living and dying for.
My wife Alissa and I are originally from Michigan. We went to seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, where I received an M.Div. and Alissa an M.A. in May 2009. After that we spent a year and a half in Alissa's hometown of Midland, MI, interning at Midland Evangelical Free Church. We have a son James and a daughter Anna who get along very well, unless the question of whose toys are whose arises.
What a wonderful church God has blessed us with! We are honored and delighted to serve him with our whole lives, and it is a privilege to live and serve among this living community of faith. For the latest on what is going on with us, see the blog.
