Sunday Worship

The worship service on Sunday morning is a gathering and sharing of our worship throughout the week. We meet on the day our Lord Jesus rose from the dead to celebrate together the new life we have through faith in him. We sing, share prayers, and open God's word together. See the home page for more about what to expect if you visit on a Sunday morning.

Sunday School

Before the worship service, adults and children alike meet to study scripture together and see what it has to say for our lives today. No entrance exams, no prerequisite Bible knowledge required--just a desire to understand what the Bible says. Sunday School events throughout the year include the annual Hayride and Chili Supper around September and Bowling for Babes to support Dave and Jen Bell's infant rescue mission in Kenya.

Youth Group

For grades 6 through 12, the youth group builds relationships between youth seeking to know Christ and equips them to be disciples and to "go make disciples" of Christ. more...

Kids Club

Kids Club currently meets the second Sunday of every month at 6pm. During warm months we have been meeting in the Mooreland Park, or else in the church basement. Kids from preschool to 5th grade come to play games, sing songs, and learn about Jesus.

Christian Women United

The CWU is the direct descendent of the Ladies Aid Society whose support to the church is still recognized in our stained glass window, dated 1887. The ladies of the church continue to raise funds through their annual and widely celebrated Chicken Noodle Supper every October. These funds are used to provide for needs in the church, to support kids on mission trips and Christian camps, and to buy gifts for shut-ins, college students, and military service men and women. The CWU also provides funeral dinners not only for members who pass away but for many families in the community mourning a loss. All women are invited the last Tuesday of each month at 7 in the Community Ministry Center.

Community Ministry Center

The building across the street from the church houses a gym, kitchen and classroom to facilitate programs like martial arts and Makers Club. It is also open to outside groups or individuals for birthday parties, basketball, and community events, arranged in advance.

Benevolence

We understand that everyone needs help sometimes, and we are committed to extending not only a check but a caring hand to those facing difficult times. Those in or around Mooreland who are facing financial crisis or life struggles can contact us and we will do what we can to help.

We also support a number of missionaries on college campuses, in Kenya, in Spain, and elsewhere to rescue infants, provide for needs, encourage those in ministry, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
