Radical

This year, First Christian Church is reading together in small groups and Sunday School classes through the book Radical by David Platt. All are encouraged to participate and to commit throughout 2013 to the Radical Experiment described in the last chapter of the book:

1. Pray for the entire world

   Prayer guide for every nation available in the book Operation World or www.operationworld.org. The country or subject of prayer for each day will be relayed on the church's home page and liked to the Pray Today page at operationworld.org.

2. Read through the entire Word

   The One Year Bible: NLT or another Bible reading plan. These passage will also be relayed on the home page every day.

3. Sacrifice your money for a specific purpose

   Give to a cause that is:

   • Gospel-centered
   • Church-focused
   • Tangible need
   • Trustworthy

   Samaritan's Purse International Relief in Jesus' Name
   World Vision - Building a better world for children
   Compassion International Releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name
   Many others...

4. Spend time in another context

   Share the gospel or care for the needy away from home

5. Commit to a multiplying community

   Be a committed, active member of a church dedicated to making disciples of Jesus
